Eine Autonomous System Number (ASN) ist eine eindeutige Nummer, die einem Netzwerk im globalen Internet-Routing zugewiesen wird. Jeder Provider, der direkt am Internet teilnimmt, besitzt eine eigene ASN (z. B. AS3320 für die Deutsche Telekom).

Was sind Upstreams, Peers und Prefixes?

Upstreams sind Transit-Provider, über die ein AS seine Routen ins Internet bekommt. Peers sind Netzwerke mit direktem Traffic-Austausch. Prefixes sind die IP-Adressbereiche, die das AS per BGP ankündigt.

Woher stammen die ASN-Daten?

Die Daten kommen aus den offiziellen RDAP-Diensten der RIRs (RIPE, ARIN u. a.) sowie aus RIPEstat (Prefixes und Nachbar-ASNs).
